Keeping motivated

With the right motivation you are only one step away from...

The PD Takeaway

Welcome everyone to The PD Takeaway and this week my guest was Ms Sarra. Our topic of conversation was based on going back to online learning and the journey that we have all gone through together since the first online learning announcement.

This interview talks about the strategies that Sarra, and more broadly the year 2 team, used to keep themselves on top of the requirements to deliver successful online learning. In order to view it please click here. You can also find previous PD Takeaway interviews here as well.

Enjoy

Buddy conversations

The appraisal process is in full swing and if you are looking for where you can document buddy conversations then please do click the link here to find Mr Lewis' know how guide on BlueSky.

POP Awards

As we are back to full online learning we have now reverted to the process of providing students with their POP Awards on either Seesaw or Google Classroom. It may not be quite the same as giving out awards face to face but it was nice to see the students' delight below.

We'll all be sure to keep rewarding our students for the great effort that they are putting into their learning.

Google Certification

Congratulations to Ms Daniela, who in her first week at the school has already completed her Google Certified Educator Level 1. Well done to her for this great effort.

If anyone is yet to do their Google Level 1 certificate or their Level 2 and would like to then please feel free to contact Renee for a code to complete the assessment.

In and around the school (online)

Thank you to Jessica for providing us with some great work to showcase from year 4 using padlet. The question she posed to the class was, 'what does Ramadan mean to you?' As you can see students replied excellently with very engaging responses.

Amanda has provided us with some excellent written work from two of her students below. Lana Abdou wrote about her birthday and Azaan Ahmad wrote about his spring break. Great job to them both for their detailed pieces.

In May's class this reading group was asked to write one word that describes online learning. They are clearly excited to be learning online.

Rola shared some work with us that her students have been completing on Ramadan. It is excellent to see how the Holy time of Ramadan can motivate the children with their learning.

Finally, Ms Jeanie wanted to show us what her guided reading session looked like today. Thumbs up and happy to be learning from home. Great work 4.1.
