Welcome back to the second half of term 1. Term 1 is always a busy one, and with the first half under our belts we can look forward with positivity. Things will still be happening, reports, support meetings etc, so plan ahead and organise your time.

Teaching and learning message
Round Robin Reading (RRR), where students take turns reading a short section of text aloud to the class or group, is a deeply ingrained classroom tradition. It’s often used with good intentions—to ensure everyone is following along, to cover material, or to practice oral reading.
However, decades of research strongly suggest that RRR is, at best, ineffective and, at worst, detrimental to developing readers. It's time we put this outdated practice to rest.
School photo schedule
Please be on time for your scheduled class photos. Remind students there will be wait time. The photographers will move as fast as possible.
If you would like some ideas on Character education themes please see the document attached. Adding the lesson focus into Chat GPT gives great ideas for lessons and activities. If you are working on the behavior in your class this is a good place to start.
