Sunday 15

If today felt like 'one of those days' for you just know, we felt it too! Whether you had one of those days, a fun day, a fantastic day, an ok day. Do what you can to turn off from school mode this afternoon. Look after yourself first. Tomorrow is a new day and will no doubt be a fabulous one.

Back to basics-Teacher, student interaction

We have seen some amazing adjustments to classroom practice and movement through the school in the last week. This week we would like to focus on teacher, student interaction.

Positive student-teacher interactions are foundational for creating a productive, supportive, and effective educational environment. Students reflect how we speak to them and about them.

  • How are you creating an environment where students feel like their classroom is their second home?
  • Is your classroom an extension of students learning?
  • Do students feel valued in their classroom?
  • When students need to be reminded of rules and routines how is it happening? As a school we should not see/hear shouting at students.

Outdoor breaks
Our lovely nurses are checking every morning to see if it is safe for our students to go outside for break.

Until we have had consistent cooler mornings we will not start outside line up. However, if you would like to take your class out to practice line up for the mornings or let them know what it will look like you are more then welcome to. New students would benefit from knowing where they can and cannot go and where the class lines up.

We will send an email in the mornings to let you know if break is outdoors or if you are able to get students outside before a certain time.

Please make sure ALL STUDENTS are aware of where they can and cannot go before outdoor breaks to help with duty.

Photo consent guide

Please keep checking Hiba's guide as it will be updated from Meg daily. Remember no consent, no class photos, display photos, photos on any drive, Google Site or social media.
