February 2nd

Today in our CLCs we will be exploring the Future of Work and what that means for learners and our role as educators. Our tasks for the next two sessions will revolve around these fundamental guiding questions. Now that we have decided where we are on the rubric (working on it, thinking about it, living it, etc...), we can look at "Where do we want to be?" What kinds of skills and learning experiences will help to prepare our students for the future of work?

Have you tried ChatGPT???

  • Sign up at ChatGPT (using your Google account is an option)

  • Once you have an account and are signed in, check the prompt box at the bottom of the screen and start your chat.

What can you do?
  • ChatGPT is very good with a conversational or Q&A-style exchange.

  • It can chat, answer questions, re-style writing, write code and debug, take tests, manipulate data, explain and tutor, and more.

  • It can easily write content based on a prompt.

  • It can generate data in a table, add indexes, understand JSON, and more.

Limitations:
  • ChatGPT is trained on data and does not scour the internet or provide search results.

  • It tries to provide accurate results to the best of its ability but can’t help periodically producing a lot of convincing text that is actually total nonsense.

Do you know how you can use it in your classroom?
  • Check here 3 ways of using ChatGPT with your students.
