Social and Emotional Domains

Social-emotional development includes the child's experience, expression, and management of emotions and the ability to establish positive and rewarding relationships with others. 

Examples of this is children's ability to bounce back from being teased or sitting still in a group to listen to a story. These are examples of healthy social and emotional development. They involve the ability to manage feelings and impulses which are needed to grow and learn.

So how can we develop these traits with our students in class?

Absence

Just a kind reminder that if you have taken time off for whatever reason that you please contact Mr Jonny to inform him whether you will be returning to school on the following day or not. Getting in contact the evening before or on the morning of would be a great help.

Rewards and the House System

Now there is even more reasons than ever to hand out positive iSAMS! Mr Rami has announced that now he will be coupling these points with the EMS House System. He will have more information regarding this in the future, but in the meantime please do hand out those rewards to deserving students.

World Teachers Day is Tuesday, Oct. 5th. To celebrate you, our awesome teachers, we will ask the students to dress up as their favorite teacher/admin staff. We will ask Group B to come dressed on Tues. Oct. 5th & Group A to come on Tues. Oct. 12th. Please let your students know.
