Thank you for a great week. 5 days to go until mid term break! It's been a long stretch but we are almost there. See you in the small cafeteria at 1.15pm. Please make sure all staff including LAs are in the small cafeteria at 1.40pm for Alan's address.

NotebookLM and Gems are now part of Google Classroom

Create a Teacher-Grounded NotebookLM Study Guide:

  • ​In Google Classroom, go to Classwork > Create > NotebookLM.

  • ​Select Create new.

  • ​In the pop-up, choose Choose class content to personalize the notebook and select the relevant source materials from within your classroom resources

  • ​Once the notebook is created, use NotebookLM's features to Generate a Study Guide or FAQ grounded in those documents.

  • ​Assign the NotebookLM resource to your students as a Class learning resource or material

Build a Custom Gemini "Gem" for Practice:

  • In Google Classroom, go to Classwork > Create > Gem.

  • Select Create new and choose a template like Quiz me or Study partner.

  • Click Choose class content to personalize the Gem and select the exact same source materials you used for NotebookLM.

  • This creates a custom AI that is an "expert" on your specific class content.

  • Assign the Gem to your students as an accompanying Assignment or Material for interactive practice.

 We hope you had a fantastic break and welcome back. Numbers are low across Primary and Secondary. 29% of primary was marked present today. We are still waiting on Ministry approval for summer hours.
