Back to basics- Communication with parents
We have had 4 full weeks of back to basics reminders. We have seen some great tweaks with learning and student behavior. 4 weeks is always a good time to reflect on how far you've come, positive and negative changes and, can anything be changed or improved for the next 4 weeks.
This week our focus is-Communication with parents
Communicating with parents is a very important part of our students development. Sometimes, conversations aren't always easy but that doesn't mean reaching out to them always has to be about negative things.
How many positive emails have you sent this term in regards to student achievement?
How do you collaborate when challenging emails or requests come to you?
Thursday 3rd
To celebrate World Teacher day, this Thursday will be early release 1.15pm. You can either dress down or come dressed as students. Students are welcome to dress as their favorite teacher. Students will be able to bring food in this Thursday, security has been told.
CLA awards
CLA awards on iSAMS are now being published on the parent portal. It will be encouraging for parents to see their children's achievements, so I am pleased with this development.
Please can you publicise this on the class Google Classroom? I will also put it on the Google site.
Let's use this as an encouragement to "catch them being good" and get a few extra CLAs awarded this week! It is important that you award the "PRI - CLA / Teacher Awards" and NOT the SEC - CLA / Teacher Awards

If you were asked to add, remove or adjust your Bluesky goals, please make sure it is done by 12.35pm Thursday 3rd.
Mobile phones in the classroom
Please make sure you are conscious of the amount of mobile phone use is happening in the classroom during lesson times. We understand that some phone calls and/or messages need to be replied too. However, pleased be mindful of overuse.
