Mr. Lewis would just like to make his appreciation known for the intern team so far in 2023. Their job is always varied and that comes with challenges as well as opportunities. They approach these challenges with positivity and flexibility, often jumping from one class to another across year groups at the drop of a hat. The newest member of the team is Miss Maricres who has fitted into the role quickly and efficiently. Many thanks to the intern team.
We all work hard - if you would like to send a "shout-out" like the one above, send the info etc to Lewis or Renee and we will post it here.
The picture above links to an article on Edutopia about peer feedback. This can be used down as low as year 2, maybe even lower and as always with Edutopia, it is a quick and easy read.
Re-introduction of football and ball games into year 4, 5 and 6 playtimes seems to have gone well so far. We will look to roll that out to years 3 and then 2 in the next week or so.
Suggestion...
4,5 and 6 teachers: chat with your class about what's been good/not so good so far... can we solve any issues? Sharing? Boys dominating?
Giving the students agency over this, class protocols and rules, may help to improve our playtimes further.
3 and 2 teachers: start the conversations... what do we need to do? Sharing etc?
The Google Summit will be a fun, high-energy, two-day event where teachers and trainers who are Google for Education experts run sessions for educators on the best use of Google tools across schools.

Blood Brothers Synopsis:
A woman with numerous children to support secretly surrenders one of her newborn twins to the childless woman she cleans for. The boys grow up streets apart, never learning the truth but becoming firm friends. One prospers while the other falls on hard times. A narrator warns that a price has to be paid for separating twins: the lives of the Blood Brothers.
Blood Brothers won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical and its 1987 revival played over 10,000 consecutive performances during its 24-year West End and 2-year run on Broadway. Author Willy Russell continues to be one of the most celebrated writers of his generation.
