Assemblies return!

Classes 6-2 and 6-7 presented a superb assembly on Wednesday, along the themes of "Confidence" and "Courage". Parents attended in great numbers for the first time since pre-Covid times and expressed their gratitude and admiration for the assembly.

Thank you to all those staff who have informed me of their absence and provided cover work this week. Time is crucial in the morning, so the deadline for informing of absence is 6.00 am.

We are thrilled to announce a new online maths competition, in partnership with CENTURY.

6-16 March 2023

The CENTURY + COBIS Maths All Stars Cup is an exciting opportunity for COBIS schools to compete for the top positions on our leaderboard and win prizes, while helping students improve their maths skills and knowledge with CENTURY’s AI-powered personalised learning.

All students in years 3 to 11 at COBIS member schools can participate for free and will be given full access to CENTURY’s maths resources. Students will simply need to answer questions correctly on the platform to earn points for their school.

Participating schools will be ranked into four categories:

  1. Large - All Through or Secondary
  2. Small - All Through or Secondary
  3. Large - Primary
  4. Small - Primary

Winners in each category will be determined by the average number of maths questions answered correctly by students, and will receive £250 Amazon vouchers. There will also be an overall competition winner.
