3 Way Conferences

Ms Angela sent some information out yesterday regarding 3WC. Please be reminded that for the evening conferences on Wednesday 10th November (4.30pm-7pm), all teachers will be able to choose between being in school or at home to conduct their conferences.

Please note that you will be required to attend school, as normal, on Thursday 11th November.

Due to very limited space in school for teachers to work online, without disturbing each other's calls, PE, Arabic, Islamic and Qatar History teachers have been asked to conduct their Thursday 11th November (7.30am- 2.30pm) 3-way conferences from home.

If you teach across both Secondary and Primary school you are required to be in attendance for the lessons for Secondary, as normal, on that day.

Please do have a look, if you haven't already, at this document that details important information regarding the 3WCs. This includes an explanation of new features to the system, how to run video conferences and how to present your screen.

Thursday's PD time is time to prep for the upcoming 3WC events on 10th and 11th November. The conferences are led by the student, but it has been some time and they will certainly need support. You will also want to ensure you get to say the things that you need to. A handy guidance doc is here and below is a video that may help. Be aware, that even pre-Covid we were not as far along with our 3WC journey as the students and teachers in the video.

If there is anything you need to discuss we will be around for informal chat support during the PD time. It is not an early release.

Library

There have been some wonderful goings on in our Library this week. Here is a session below where children are seen to be enjoying their lesson.

There have also been some fascinating goings on in the ECC library too! There will be more about this on the Pulse post on Thursday.

Brain Pop Jr

A reminder to all that BrainPop Jr is now finally available. To gain access to it, simply log in using your BrainPop account.

If you do not have a BrainPop account, please contact Ms Sara and she will add you to our school platform.

Catch them being good!

We do a lot as a school to motivate and encourage our students. If you have any ideas as to how we can further expand our repertoire, please do let us know.

Please find the Report/3WC timeline here

Booster shot schedule

A number of people have been contacted and received a date for their booster vaccination. Please see attached here a document that allows you to place in your booster vaccination time if it is due during school. If and where possible please try to book your vaccination appointment for an evening or afternoon, after school.

Where there are no appointment times offered that are out of school hours please indicate if cover is required using the timetable attached in the document above. Simply write your name in the session where you will need to be out of school and please be sure to check the weeks correctly.
