Year 6 biography day

Plenty of great costumes and presentations of writing arrived through gate 3 this morning, and I always look forward to year 6's biography unit. This student, Abdulla in 6-7, came as Bill Gates with his own homemade Microsoft laptop!

Thursday-11th November -     grade books open to add grades
Thursday-11th November -     Reports switch with buddies
Wednesday-17th November - Submit reports to admin
Sunday-21st November -        all grades and reports on iSAMS
Wednesday-24th November - reports published

To all of you for the first installment of "Continuous Reporting". I hope the weekly work was not too onerous. I will be seeking your feedback as to this plus also any benefits and negatives you may have considered as time went on. I will also be asking parents for their views. 

I am keen to refine and improve - thanks for your efforts
 


If you would like an admin to visit your class this week to read a poem, get in touch! Poetry is fin and easy and students love it. Monday and Wednesday look good for Mr Lewis - "The Owl and the Pussycat". 





We will not add new POP awards this week, as last week's were not given out due to 3WCs. If you forgot last week, this is a chance to add students and reward the worthy! :)




Congratulations to all staff, especially the first-timers! The system seemed to work well, with a few glitches but generally, an improvement is what I am hearing. Thanks for the feedback.

All the best to David and Nancy, catching up with their 3WCs this week. 



NO PD this week :-) (Work from home to finalise reports, place comments on iSAMS, check levels match comments etc) Leave time is 1.15pm or just after if you still have students. LA’s can leave at 2pm except those on rota for staff children supervision.


Staff Covid Conduct

We need to be extra careful when it comes to break times etc. To avoid potential cross-team contamination, please revert to previous covid protocols, only meeting as teams and maintaining bubbles as much as possible.
