Learning Principle #3: Assessment for, of and as learning

Shirley Clarke has long been the cheerleader for effective formative assessment in the UK. Click on the picture above for a great page from her website that will further expand your understanding.

The following guidelines are in place:

  • Timetable- will stay the same there will be NO changes to the current timetable.

  • We will maintain safety bubbles for each class.

  • We will continue with NO outside breaktimes currently and NO cafeteria.

  • Gates for entry and exit will remain the same, which includes gate duty and WhatsApp for dismissal.

  • PE will be outside in class bubbles.

  • Other specialists will continue to push in. AIM will work with groups in classes but not across the year group.

Live calls and blended learning

Live calls- cameras will be on from registration. There is NO expectation for you to run any 'Meeters & Seaters' style lessons from Sunday.

The link is only for students at home who are there because of quarantine/travel or medical exemptions. Work can be posted to those students using online platforms. However, there is no expectation for there to be any online lessons. Your focus is now on your students in the classroom.

On the guidelines, you will have seen that there are some restrictions we are unable to adhere to such as maintaining 1-meter distancing. Instead, we will observe safety bubbles, masks, and sanitation in our classrooms. Specialists will push in, PE will pull out.

If you have any further questions please ask a member of the Primary Leadership team, who will be happy to help and support you.

Stay calm, patient, and work together.

NEASC visiting schedule

The schedule has been amended so there were no observations on Sunday. Instead, these observations have been moved to Wednesday.
