Tuesday 26th
Mid week is here, not long until Early release Thursday and even closer to a fabulous December break. As always, we are here to support with behavior needs, meetings and everything else that pops up during these busy weeks. Whatsapp, Google Chat, grab us in the hallways. We are here to support. Happy Tuesday.
Back to basics
Group work teaches students skills beyond the task in front of them. Effective group work takes time and patience from teachers and students. Consider how group work is happening in your class, how do you know its effective? What changes do you make if you think it's not going well. Please see the reflective article attached.
Fantastic Assessment for Learning this week
Well done 3-5 for amazing assessment for learning practices happening this week. Before their new Time unit students were engaged in a class math challenge on 99math. Students needed to answer questions related to time, this helped to identify what students already knew and what areas needed to be covered by Ms Jessica. Students thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and is an excellent example of quick and relaxed ways to track students learning.
Thursday Football match
If your class is attending the match please seat students infront of the library bleachers. Please seat students away from the goalposts if possible. Remind students to stay focused and dodge any rouge footballs during the game.
