PD Thursday 23rd November - the great “Mop up”!

For this session, here are some things that need to be done. Work through as you judge it, the best use of your time. They are in a loose priority order:

• Finalise reporting - gradebooks, comments

• Make sure that you have (at least) 2 finalised objectives on BlueSky

• Check any BlueSky notes on recent observation - respond in the notes if you were asked to, add any evidence if there has been any progress with them so far

• ECIS training

• Select 'yes' or 'no' for relevant behavior or academic concerns if you have met with parents.

Reporting on iSAMS

When adding and finalising report comments and grades on iSAMS, the first rule is:

• Comments on Report Wizard
• Grades on Gradebooks

So that the Admin can see the grades and create the reports please do the following for each student as you add their comments on report wizard:

1. Go to report wizard for the student concerned
2. Click on subjects
3. Check the grades are visible - you can see them, DE, SE etc 
4. if they are, click "incomplete" (blue)  then SAVE AND CLOSE
5. If they are not, there should be a message saying "The gradebook has unsaved changes, click HERE to update" - Click HERE, then save as "incomplete" (blue) then SAVE AND CLOSE

Basically, it's a "Save and Close" thing!

Continuous reporting

Thank you all for your continuous reporting grades over the last few weeks, this week is the last week for grades to be uploaded. Thank you all again for your efforts.

Staff vs Student football game

If you would like to take your class out lesson 6 on Thursday to watch the staff vs student football game you are more then welcome. If you are a staff member and would like to play please message Rami and let him know.

Bluesky premium subscription

As a school we all have a premium subscription which means we have full access to learning modules, unless they are 'coming soon.' Make sure you check out Bluesky to see what there is on offer. 

Reward the behavior  you want to see. 

As we are slowly approaching Winter break a reminder to keep rewarding the positive behaviors you are seeing in your class and out during breaks. Highlighting and rewarding what we want to see will help keep students on track for the final few weeks. If you do happen to see negative behavior please make sure you give a negative ISAMs so we can track the issue.

Report comments due 

Thank you to everyone who has emailed their report comments to a member of admin. We have all enjoyed reading the positive and supportive comments about your students. A reminder the due date for comments to admin is end of day today, please email your admin person if there are any delays.
