Professional Reading

The article linked to the image above is from Edutopia and discusses the teacher's role as that of a "warm demander" - balancing firmness and friendship. Really interesting stuff, and as with most Edutopia articles, a quick and easy read!

Saturday PD

Our Primary PD was focussed and productive. Well done to all, and thank you to Miss Nicole and Miss Renee for leading them so well.

Years 1-6 worked on a new planning format...

The KG teams explored provocations and the process of learning...

Teams were working so well and with such beneficial outcomes, that it was decided as the session progressed to postpone the planned learning walk until another time.

Admin-type things

Email ideas

1. Please send parental emails via iSAMS. The reason for this is then it is automatically saved in the student's communication history and is readily accessible for any potential future need.

2. If it is an email conveying news that may be difficult for the parent to hear (their child's bad behaviour for example), it is good practise to have a colleague quickly check the tone. Please note that admin is not insisting on this - just a suggestion.

The newly-introduced cover form will help to ensure quality T&L continues in your absence...
