Congratulations to Miss Samah, who placed first place in her class for the Diploma of Primary Education from Qatar University!


Year 6 STEAM fair


The year 6 STEAM fair was back, bigger and better than ever! More photos will follow in this week's PULSE. Congratulations to the y6 team, and in particular Miss Ronel for organising such a great event.



All teaching and learning staff have been assigned a reflection group and sent an invitation for the next meeting.  Please ensure that you have accepted that invitation. 

The dates for these sessions will be:
Tuesday 31st May between 13:15 and 14:20 
Tuesday 7th June between 13:15 and 14:20

Indoor Break Duty Rota

The duty rota for indoor breaks is in use from now until June 16th, there are no whole Primary outdoor breaks.

You can take individually scheduled 15-minute outside break times if you wish, but these must be in line with the nurses 'weather/heat guidance'.

Staff Children Supervision

Staff children supervision (All students KG1- Yr 6 start 1pm): rota for LAs can be found here.

NOTE: Pick up no later than 2:30pm, please.

BSME Competitions

The dates for BSME competitions for next year are below. If you think you would like your students to take part in any of these events for next year then please inform your team leader and we will try to ensure that we enter the contest. 

Please note that Education Perfect platform on which most of the events are taking place, is free for all teachers to use, it has resources related to the competition so that students can practice as well as many resources to use during other planned lessons and it can be used for assessments. 

BSME Science Championship: November 2022 | Education Perfect, Online: is an exciting 3-day event in which students answer questions online covering a range of content exploring the themes of Innovation, Sustainability & Technology. It is aimed at students in upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5-6).

BSME Primary Arabic Competition: May 2023 | Education Perfect, Online, The competition is a fun and engaging opportunity for students to engage, revise, and learn Arabic content on the Education Perfect platform. Students as young as Year 3 enjoy the online language events, but this event is probably best suited to upper Key Stage 2 students (Year 5-6).


BSME App Design Challenge Online | The Pearl Academy, Abu Dhabi: The App Challenge will provide a creative opportunity for children to develop their moral and social responsibilities whilst preparing for their roles as leaders of the future. Students must work in a team to decide on a real-world problem they wish to solve and design an app that can support solving their problem.

BSME Primary Writing Event Online | Modern English School Cairo, Cairo: provide students who attend BSME member schools in the Middle East with an opportunity to demonstrate their ideas and imagination through writing. It also offers students a platform to an international audience who will read and judge their work. Years 1-6.

BSME SRS Art & Photography Competition Online | The School of Research Science, Dubai: The SRS BSME Art Competition encourages creativity in students, increases artistic awareness in schools and allows talented students to communicate through the field of art. Years 5-13.
